Pissed Off Grandma
Yeah, people. I am pissed off! (I know, fine way for a grandma to talk.) But I woke up at my usual time, 4 a.m., and as always, logged on to my Xanga world. The first Rec. I looked into was a comment made on the blog titled “What’s Wrong with being a Slut?” I scrolled up and looked at the picture; I read the first two paragraphs and got the hell out of this idiot’s blog.
As I continued down my site, I saw multiple Recs. for comments made in response to this pig’s blog. I wondered how many people stoked his ego with comments. So I reentered his blog and was totally shocked. 155 comments and 9 Likes so far! Are you serious?
Yes, this piece of garbage has the right to post what he wants. AND, we have the right to ignore him. Giving him recognition is a grave mistake. He’ll probably make top blog and for what? Trying to put women back a hundred years? Give me a break.
And some people actually argued with him, which I am sure he totally got a sick kick out of.
Don’t get me wrong. I totally support free speech…I am a total advocate! Write what you want…but I’ll be damned if you’ll get a comment from me if what you write is disgusting, insulting and as revolting as this piece of scum’s blog. I won’t even forward this blog to FB; I’m afraid that someone will want a link to his site. The only link I want to give him is one to a psych doctor…for this boy needs help!
OK…I feel better now. And remember, this is just my opinion. If you don’t like it….don’t comment on it.

Thank you for taking a moment and looking at my site. It is very much unlike the site you speak of here, and never does or will make the top blogs. I don’t really care. Until recently I didn’t allow people to recomend my pieces…. of well, a friend let me know she wasn’t happy she couldn’t rec my post…. so I changed my ways LOL. I agree with you and am often amazed at what makes “Top Blog” a lot of reason why I like being hidden away. Some of my pieces are dark and sad, I am a disabled veteran, and therapy helps me release some pains. Most are about love. I’m getting old enough that I doubt ever finding what I dream of, so I enjoy my grandchildren, and my writing that will do me. I hope you have a pleasant day.

I’m not gonna support him and yah that was a strange article that didn’t make sense to me. Sometimes a look at a picture tells you right there it’s gonna be a weird story. Φ ≡
sometimes I read the top xanga sites and their titles and my hubby said I should put crazy titles to get attention and I said like,”I’m married to a gay man” or something like that and he said,”I’m not gay.” lol lol lol
i understand exactly what youre saying….i feel like the rec button as become so willy nilly used that its been desensitized to actually rec worthy endeavors

The problem is the Rec was for someone’s comment on this piece…and you don’t know what blog you’re getting into until you scroll up to see the main content. It would be nice if Xanga would reference the title of the blog being commented on. Don’t get me wrong..almost all of the Recs that I’ve clicked on are tasteful, funny, and worth my time.@Inciteful -

I don’t recommend something unless I really feel it’s worthy. It has to touch me in some way. I think Xanga should let you know the title of the piece…along with the comment recs..so we have a heads up on the content. Thanks for the rec!@pa1ndpo3t -
