  • TAKING THE DAY OFF!

I am stepping out of Xangaland today.  Just for the day. I am a faithful Xangan…I read all the comments you send and a vast majority of the posts you write; I do this everyday!  But, today I must abstain from frolicking in the land of Xanga.

Why?  Well, for some very good reasons.

1.) I have spent so much time on my laptop; Danny thinks I am looking up porn sites or connecting with on-line dating services.  Now, I don’t disabuse him of this incorrect thinking, it keeps him on his toes!  But, I have neglected spending quality time with him lately, so I’ll watch football and eat chicken wings with him today, and promise not to sneak into the laptop for “just a quick peek” at what’s happening in Xanga.

2.)  I am beginning to write blogs in the dust on my living room tables.  I must do some housework before I lose Danny under a pile of laundry.  Bless the man, he says nothing, but the looks he gives me shout “What the hell?”  I am determined to spend some time with a toilet brush and a mop, before he starts muttering about hiring a housekeeper!

3.) I want to experiment using the new camera I bought to upload pictures into Xangaland.  So far, I haven’t had time to go outside and take pics of the different wildlife that visit our yard.  People, we have a resident alligator that patrols our neighborhood; have I got any pics of him.  Nope!

So, I could go on and on; but then the day would pass with my nose stuck in my laptop and my good intentions down the drain.

All of you have a wonderful Sunday and I leave you with this one thought!

    I’ll be back!

    Love ya all,

    Cranky

  • hey, no need to find reasons or excuse.  Just do whatever you wanted and decided.  Enjoy it.  Cheers,

  • Enjoy your day with Danny and the wildlife. I look forward to seeing some pictures next time you post too!

  • let him hire a housekeeper.  :)   have a wonderful day in the real world.
i have to spend time with my *egads* family.

  • Good to see you taking a break! We’ll be here when you get back :)

  • Good luck on this endeavor.

  • All we need to do is to have a balance between these things.
I usually write on Words at home first or on my leather journal before I ever posting anything here.
That way I have numerous things to write about and I have all the time for other things such as the housework, the kids, other activities and of course for my dear husband!

    U enjoy your Sunday too!

  • I think we all need a day off from time to time.  Enjoy your time snapping those pictures!

  • Well all right. Seems like you have some good excuses. A neighborhood alligator, yes, you need to share pics of that! I also need to do some housework, we’ll see how much I accomplish today.

  • That is a cute picture of the little dog and the big bone.  I want to see a picture of the alligator (but not a close-up.  I would miss you.  Have fun with the mop.

  • There is life outside of Xanga and it calls us.  Enjoy!!

  • So true- blogging can get to be an addicting habit. =)

  • I’m very curious..an alligator in your neighborhood sounds so exotic to me..even though iv’e heard about such thing before..are they dangerous ?  if so i would move out of there…

  • Sounds to me like Danny is jealous of Xanga…LOL!

  • Enjoy your day with Danny, and the cleaning utensils…Xanga breaks aren’t always bad, but I do miss her when I’m gone Hope you had an amazing day & i’ll look forward to reading all about it, in the future.

  • Enjoy the day with Danny. But, I have one or two questions. Can Danny not do his own laundry? If there is a lot of dust on the living room tables, and if he sees it there, why don’t you hand him a dust brush and tell him to have fun? yeah, the same with the toilet brush and the mop! I don’t understand why you have to do all this while he does , hmm what? Just wondering. Inquiring minds want to know.

  • And enjoy it I did!  But, glad to be back in Xangaland!@MichellelyNg -

  • All living creatures eluded me during my hunt!  However, I’m going to keep trying to get some pics.@armnatmom -

  • Had a housecleaner once!  Alas, I’d rather do it myself!  Hope you had a great time with family!@promisesunshine -

  • Thanks..really enjoyed my day.  @cook0129 -

  • Thanks!  Turned out to be a good day!@Thatslifekid -

  • @ZSA_MD - i’m with ya on all that.  but my spouseman does most of the laundry and a lot of the cooking too.  i should take the cooking back.

family:  some parts are better than others.

  • Ahhh…balance!  That’s the ticket!  But, I have good intentions…until I sign on the Xanga! @SherryAngeLMysteriez -

  • Yup, enjoyed the day.  Except wanting to take just one quick peek into Xanga!@VallejoGirl -

  • Thanks….enjoyed the day!@Grannys_Place -

  • Alligators are only dangerous if you’re around one…they can run faster than a human when motivated!  Lose a lot of puppies around Florida…gators find them tasty!@locomotiv -

  • He doesn’t know much about Xanga…he just knows that I spend a lot of time on my laptop!  I tell him about blogging and he just gets this strange look on his face, “Huh?”@Tallman -

  • I too enjoy Xangaland..it was hard not to check in for a whole day!@TheGhioniFiles -

  • The same thing happens to me…I get strange reactions from non blogger friends of mine…you just got to remember that they do not understand our need to express ourselves through our writing. Its like Stephen King said…”The outside does not understand our craziness”…He said something along these lines in his book “On Writing”….He gave writers amateur, professional, young and old advice on who to marry….he said to marrry another writer because they will understand our need to write and the craziness that stems from our devotion to express ourselves. The outside just will not understand. Perhaps Danny does not understand and like most people he fears what he does not understand. I have that problem with my own spouse sometime.

  • I read King’s book too.  Thought it was awesome!@Tallman -

  • I hear ya, sister.  However, I am afraid that I am a little OCD when it comes to laundry and housecleaning.  He has tried to help in the past, only to get shoo’d out of the room so I could redo it!  Totally my fault.  And on the upside, he handles the outside work and when you live in Florida, you come to appreciate someone else mowing the lawn in the summer! Thanks for the rec and the mini!@ZSA_MD -

  • I love your profile picture….the wicked witch is awesomwe!

  • Thanks…I think yours is just as awesome! I now know where to go when I need a hero!@Tallman -
